Easy Paleo Lemon Mousse

This Clean Eating Paleo Lemon Mousse recipe is probably one of the easiest desserts you will ever make! And it's so light and so perfect for summer!

I've had a lot of mousse in the past that had tons of sugar and a mouthful of dairy. Which believe me, I enjoyed very much! But do you ever just want to cut it down on the dairy and sugar just a little bit? Here is an easy recipe that will blow your mind as soon as that spoon hits the roof of your mouth!


The ingredients are quite simple! You'll actually be quite surprised by the simplicity, and how it tastes in the end results! So far, I have no regret with trying something new such as this Lemon Mousse.

  • Honey Sweetened Lemon Curd. I have such an easy lemon curd recipe that I used for this mousse. Feel free to hop over and get this recipe! Or use store bought lemon curd, though I have to admit, it will no longer be paleo, dairy free, or sugar free. But it will save you quite some time.
  • Coconut Milk. I've seen others use Full Fat Coconut Milk, but here, I used gelatin to make the milk sturdy, so you can use any coconut milk you have on hand. Of course, my favorite brand would have to be Thai Kitchen.
  • Gelatin. If you're using Full Fat Coconut Milk, use only 1 1/2 tsp of gelatin. But if you're using light or homemade coconut milk, use 1 tbsp of gelatin.
  • Honey. Honey is a natural sweetener, and will naturally make this recipe sugar free.

Fancy Occasions

Wouldn't these be lovely for a special occasion or event? So lovely for Mother's Day, Easter. Bridal Shower, Baby Shower, or even a Dinner Party! You can double or triple this recipe to serve the crowd, and believe me, it will be a REAL crowd pleaser! Who knew that something so wonderful could actually be diary free, sugar free, and paleo? Am I right?

If you've got those extra couple of minutes, why not pipe it out beautifully into portion dishes. No pastry bag needed, just use a regular zip lock bag with a piping tip. It's amazing how it add a special touch to the dessert.

But let's be real, if I'm staying home and I make this, I'm probably going to shovel it into my mouth. #reallife.

One other thing I've found that you can pipe this into a cute little mason jar or jars and print out some cute labels that they have online for free, and gift them to family or friends! What a beautiful way to celebrate summer and each other! Plus, isn't the yellow just divine??

  • 3/4 cup Honey Sweetened Lemon Curd
  • 1 cup Coconut Milk
  • 1 tbsp Gelatin
  • Raw Honey, to taste
  • Pinch of Salt


  1. First, make the honey sweetened lemon curd. Chill until thickened and cold.
  2. In a small saucepan, whisk together the coconut milk and gelatin. Let it sit for 10 minutes. Then turn the heat down to medium heat and whisk until gelatin dissolves.
  3. Pour into a bowl and refrigerate until set, at least 4 hours.
  4. In a food processor or blender, you could also use a hand held mixer, blend together coconut milk and the lemon curd. Add honey to taste and a small pinch of salt.
  5. Enjoy!
