It's SOOO easy to make, (less than 10 minutes!) and you can practically use any fruit that's in season! This jam is thickened with chia seeds, instead of tons of extra sugar! It's delicious, and made with real ingredients you can feel great about!
Chia Seeds Thicken the Jam! So you can totally and completely opt out of using sugar! Traditional jams have an insane amount of sugar. But not chia jam! I only add honey or maple syrup if I'm using tarty fruits.
You can Use Fresh or Frozen Berries/Fruit. Perfect for leftover berries you have in your fridge, wouldn't you say? Or when you finally get to dig through your freezer and discover you still have frozen berries from the year before!
No Canning Required. You could store these in batches if you have the time, energy, and the talent! But unfortunately for me, I don't know the first thing about about canning. So just making one or two jars is plenty for the next week or two for me!

If you ever picked up a jar of store bought jam, and read the ingredients, you'll noticed that somewhere in the first five ingredients, there's tons of sugar. And unfortunately, it'll catch you by surprise. They're mostly using high fructose corn syrup, along with standard corn syrup and regular sugar. Not to mention, the horrible amount of pectin used to thicken it up.
So naturally, homemade chia seed jam is the opposite of that. It uses nutrient dense and fiber rich chia seeds, which not only have good health benefits, but also thicken the jam. And a smidge of pure maple syrup. With some if your fruit is already sweet enough, you won't even need additional sugar.
