Sparkling Mango Black Tea

This refreshing Sparkling Mango Black Tea is the perfect summer thirst quencher! Made with just three base ingredients; Mango Puree, Black Tea, and Sparkling Water.

Mango season is one of the most delicious seasons of the year! (In my opinion). And one way to enjoy some mango is in this incredible Sparkling Mango Tea! It's not difficult, and doesn't require any complicated ingredients or techniques.

Mango Tea Ingredients

  • Mango Puree. I peeled, chopped, and pureed my own mangos, but you are more than welcome to buy your puree or use mango juice instead.
  • Black Tea. I had regular black tea on hand. You can experiment with any other teas you might have. Mint tea, or Fruity tea are great options!
  • Sparkling Water. I used regular La Croix, Key Lime flavored Sparking Water. Any Sparking Water works too. You could really just stick with a non-flavored sparkling water to just have a mango flavor if you want.

Sparkling Mango Tea

If you're anything like me, and love drinking iced drinks during the summer, this is the perfect drink for you! I'm so in love with this color, and the taste is just... *sigh* refreshing. Pureeing your own mangos really does hit the spot. And that bubbly drink enhances the flavor even more!

You can't go wrong with any Sparkling drink, especially the ones that have fresh fruit in it! This is the easiest recipe you could make in the comfort of your home. It's totally customizable.

How Do You Steep Tea

Here's a little secret and tip I only found out myself recently! Did you know that every tea box you buy has a certain time to steep the tea for that refreshing and amazing flavor. I always thought that you steep the tea how ever long you want - to your desired taste. Which you can totally do. But every tea has that steepness to achieve optimal their flavor.

But also, the steeping will all depend on your personal preference and how strong you want the tea. In this recipe, you'll hardly notice the bitter black tea since does mix in really well with the mango and sparkling water. Here is a general guide to steeping your tea.

  • Black Tea. Steep for 4-5 minutes.
  • Green Tea. Steep for 3-4 minutes.

How To Make Sparkling Mango Black Tea

Though, some have used a mango syrup to color and sweeten this drink, I do prefer to go all natural and fresh. Plus it gives you an almost southern taste and the best kind of tea combination.

  1. Start by pureeing your mango in a food processor or blender. You could use a potato masher, but it won't give you that silky smooth puree. (Tip. Use Mango Juice if you don't have mangos, or they aren't in season).
  2. Steep your tea of choice, and set aside to slightly cool.
  3. In a glass cup or mason jar, measure out 1/3 cup mango puree or juice, pour into the glass cup. Add some mint leaves if desired. Pour in your ice.
  4. Add in your sparkling water, and top of with your black tea. Garnish with mint if you want to.
  5. Serve immediately.

How Long Will This Tea Last

Typically, anything that has carbonated water in it, won't last for too long, so it's best to drink this sparkling tea in less than a day. If you're serving this to a larger crowd, you can make a bigger batch of this recipe.

This Drink will become your summer favorite, do doubt!
