Strawberries and Peaches are the perfect combination for a fruity crisp to enjoy this summer! You don't need a food processor and with a few pantry staples, you can create this perfectly crisp and tart fruity dessert!

What Is A Crisp

First things first, a crisp and a cobbler are not quite the same. Crisps usually contain oat based toppings and come out crunchy and well, crispy. A cobbler would usually have a thick streusel like topping made with flour, butter, and sugar as the base ingredients.

How To Make Strawberry Peach Crisp

What don't strawberries pair well with?! Anywhere from Strawberry Shortcakes to Strawberry Jellos, the possibilities are endless. The combinations of the peaches and strawberries definitely cuts back on the sweetness and adds a little bit of tartness.

The best part about any sheet pan dessert, is that they are super easy and are incredibly fast to assemble! It starts with a buttery oatmeal and brown sugar crust, filled with fresh fruit, and topped with a homemade syrup. Half of the crust topping is crumbled over the top and you are left with a breathless, delicious, perfect in every bite of fruit and crunchy goodness!

Mix 1/2 cup Oatmeal, 1/2 cup Brown Sugar, 2/3 cup Flour, and 1/3 cup Unsalted melted Butter. Mix together until the mixture is crumbly. Then spread half of it into the bottom of a 9x9 pan, or an 8x8 pan.

Top the crust with your chopped and sliced peaches and strawberries.

In a small saucepan, on medium-high heat, cook together 1/4 cup Brown Sugar, 3 tsp Cornstarch, 1/3 cup Water, 1/8 tsp Salt, and 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract. Heat just until it starts to thicken. This will take a couple of minutes, so don't leave the stove! Stirring constantly.

Pour the syrup over you fruit.

Sprinkle the remainder of the topping.

Bake at 350 F. for 35-40 minutes. Or until the topping begins to have a golden brown crust.

Optional - If you'd like, as to not over bake, turn your oven to broil and place the crisp on the top shelf. Broil for 2-3 minutes. This is also an easy way to get those nice crispy edges ♡

Can I Make This Fruit Crisp Vegan

If you're serving this to a crowd with dietary restrictions, you can easily substitute the butter for any vegan butter, such as, coconut butter, or use margarine or coconut oil.
